1 of the 10 Finalist

(118 applications from 48 countries / regions were accepted)

The award rewards outstanding practices on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in local communities around the world. The aim of the award are to support the organization carrying out the ESD activities and to promote ESD to the communities globally through showcasing their initiatives. The award has been presented annually since 2015.

Climate Storytellers@COP26 (PCCB Network's 3rd Capacity Building Hub on 3rd Nov Capacity Building Day)

Alliance of River Three's story (1 of the 3 stories about Capacity Building on Community Action selected from around the world featured on COP26, was the 26th United Nations Climate Change conference, held at the SEC Centre in Glasglow, Scotland, United Kingdom, from 31st Oct to 13 Nov 2021.

The Placemaker Awards ASEAN 2021 wants to shed light on these initiatives to give them the recognition they deserve because while placemaking is about sustainability and the ongoing improvement or adaptation of public spaces to meet community goals and needs. People matter most and we would like to showcase how resilient and important public spaces are when it comes to recovery.

Friends of Sungai Klang Taman Melawati River Three is the Winner for Open Category

One of the main initiatives of the ROL-POP5 is to establish a River Care Community, where they take ownership towards river cpr (conserve, protect, rehabilitate) and share their river care initiatives besides it also acts as a platform for others to replicate the success of river care initiative.

Our Better World is the digital storytelling initiative of the Singapore International Foundation, which brings world communities together to do good.

Climate Storyteller@COP26, by Digital Storyteller 

who empower a wider community of purpose-driven leaders to harness the power of story and change systems for the better.

Digital Storyteller, Australia-based, partnered with CLEAR Environmental to help create a virtual program to help share the stories of those not in the room, and hosted two sessions at the main stage of the UN Climate Capacity Building Hub at COP26 in Glasgow.

 

Alliance of River Three capacity building on climate storytelling is one of the 3 community stories selected from around the world featured in COP26.
